In September 1985, the Detroit Diesel Engine Company used the electronically controlled unitary fuel injection control system for the first time on its high-speed diesel engines. The system was called DDECI. In September 1987, the more advanced DDECII system was introduced and later DDECIII, DDECIV, DDECV systems.
DDECIII, DDECIV and DDECV systems are a unique set of diesel engine electronic control devices, which have the ability to collect more information and strictly control diesel engine emissions. The power supply voltage of DDECII system is 12V. The power supply voltage of DDECIII, DDECIV and DDECV systems can be 12V or 24V. The normal working voltage of ECM is between 11-32V.
